Are You Living for Eternity?
The Daily Dose #0102
The Daily Dose #0102
Advent invites you to focus not on earthly success but on what lasts forever. Living with eternity in mind shapes your actions, prayers, and priorities. God calls you to faithfulness, trusting that your efforts, joined with prayer and faith in Him, will have lasting impact—not just in your life but in the lives of others.
Today, consider how your time, energy, and resources reflect eternal priorities. Bring your efforts to God in prayer, trusting Him to bless and multiply them. When your faith is centered on Christ, even small acts carry eternal significance.
"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."
— Galatians 6:9
Brief Biographical Summary
John Eliot (1604–1690), often called the “Apostle to the Indians,” was a missionary to the Native Americans in New England. He translated the Bible into the Algonquin language, making God’s Word accessible to indigenous peoples for the first time.
Fun fact: Eliot’s Algonquin translation of the Bible was the first Bible printed in North America.
