Are You Living Out the Great Commission?

The Daily Dose #0073

The gospel message that God sent His son to reconcile the world unto himself. Jesus didn’t command us to “be nice and hug people while they walk their way to hell”. He commissioned us to go and make disciples. Living out the Great Commission means carrying the message of Christ through every action, word, and interaction. The world is transformed when believers embody wisdom, kindness, and truth, pointing others to the life-changing power of the gospel. This is the salty truth, and is carried into every realm of a Christians life, including their politics.
We have given too much ground to the pagans in that we have bought the lie that somehow you can separate morality from the government. You cannot. In all the hullabaloo of what is happening in the states, ask yourself if you believe that evil men should fear righteous rule. While you are at it, ask yourself if you think the more Godly thing to do is to invite evil men to rule over the righteous while you do nothing.
You play a part in this society, and we can change the culture. It’s time to be salty.
Today, ask yourself how you’re living out the Great Commission. Look for opportunities to show Christ’s love and speak the truth, even if it hurts feelings. You are part of a mission to bring God’s light to a world in need, one step at a time. Let’s retake the US and Make America Christian Again for the glory of God and the love of our neighbor.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
— Matthew 28:19
