Brief Biographical Summary

William Carey (1761–1834), known as the “Father of Modern Missions,” was an English missionary who dedicated his life to spreading the gospel in India. His faith in God’s promises propelled him to pursue great things for God’s kingdom, inspiring generations of missionaries.

Fun fact: Carey was a skilled linguist who translated the Bible into several Indian languages, including Bengali, Oriya, and Sanskrit.
