Brief Biographical Summary

Adoniram Judson (1788–1850) was one of the first American missionaries, serving in Burma for nearly 40 years. Despite incredible trials, including imprisonment and the loss of loved ones, Judson persevered in sharing the gospel and translating the Bible into Burmese.

Fun fact: Judson’s work laid the foundation for one of the largest Christian communities in Myanmar (Burma) today, with over two million believers.
